Paulette's at 238 South Sandusky Street, Tiffin, Ohio.

Paulette's is my favorite diner in the whole wide world. When I went to college in Tiffin I ate there as much as I could afford. When I come though the area now I try and time my trips to line up with mealtimes.

The atmosphere is charming and homey, like your grandmother's kitchen down to the floral wallpaper and pictures of lighthouses. The staff feels like a tight knit family and they always seem happy to see you.

Everything on their menu is good, but their gravy is the real standout for my money. It's good on the chicken fried steak and it's good on the biscuits. Their corned beef hash omelet can't be beat and the coffee is strong and bottomless. They serve thick cheesy burgers and piping golden fries, beating the cost of fast food and far exceeding the value.

If aliens landed and asked to be shown American food, they should be brought to Paulette's with all expedience.
